Meet the Team

Kerry Moir HBSW, MSW, RSW

First I’ll introduce myself. My name is Kerry Moir and I am a therapist and owner of KM- Mindful Insights Counselling Services. I am a registered Social Worker in the province of New Brunswick and in Nova Scotia (tele-practice) and Ontario (tele-practice). In 2015, I earned an undergraduate honours social work degree from Algoma University and in 2020, I attained a Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University.

At the beginning of my career, I enjoyed a rewarding position as a hospital Social Worker in Timmins Ontario. I had the pleasure to work on a multidisciplinary team on both the integrated child and adolescent mental health unit and the adult mental health unit. I have learned that I thrive best working in mental health. I am also a life long learner. In Ontario, I continued my passion for education and fulfilled my goal of being a sessional Professor at Algoma University Timmins Campus, delivering social work curricula. My motto is to “be both the student and teacher interchangeably” and I live by this motto daily in my private practice.

Life as we know it has many directional changes. In 2019, I left Ontario and returned to my home province of New Brunswick to open my private practice.

Specialties include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for PTSD/Trauma treatment and couples therapy using the Gottman Method. Supportive counselling is combined with various modalities tailored to your individual needs.

I have always dreamt of opening a private practice. I put my goals on a vision board and manifested “KM Mindful Insights”. My vision is to cultivate a safe place for you to express your deepest desires, unload your deepest worries, and walk along side you on your journey. If my vision aligns with yours, please reach out to schedule a session. Trust me, you are worth the time invested. ~ Hold the Vision- Trust the Process.

Isabella Hebert MSW, RSW

Hi, I’m Isabella (she/her), a registered clinical social worker. I believe that healing happens within relationships built on safety, trust, compassion and respect. My approach is strengths-based, client-centered and trauma informed, and I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard and supported to move at a pace that feels right for you. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating trauma, grief and loss, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, anxiety, and depression. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we work toward your goals together.

My work is grounded in structural social work, which recognizes that our struggles are largely shaped not only by personal experiences but also by the systems we live within. I strive to work collaboratively with clients to understand the broader context of their lives while building on existing strengths and resilience. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating a difficult life transition or hoping to better understand yourself, I welcome the opportunity to connect and explore how we might work together.
